RELATIONSHIPS AND PARENT COACHING
Professional coaching can make all the difference to relationships, at home and in the workplace.
I have already mentioned that successful relationships are founded on a mutual desire to make them work, to keep them mutually beneficial. In other words - it takes two.
Ultimately though, it is only our own attitudes and choices that we have real control over. And that is where the individual coaching process can be very helpful and effective. As we identify what really matters to us and what we really want in our relationships, we become more self-reliant and confident. We are then able to listen openly and contribute positively to our relationships, through the desire for mutual understanding.
In my experience, having worked for many years with individuals and groups in a variety of settings, I have found the individual coaching process to be the most effective support for healthy relationships.
Some feedback:
"Being coached has really helped me find the confidence and optimism to find ways to resolve the issues I have with my step daughter."
"I feel like I always knew I wanted to treat my son differently but I felt like that would be betraying my family's advice and I would look like a bad mother!' Coaching has given me the confidence to share things with him and listen to his way of looking at things, at the same time as keeping strong boundaries. Its like we both know where we are now and there's more trust and respect. He is so much happier with us all now."
"Without coaching I would have taken so much longer to discover the best ways for ME to handle my kids - if ever! The other thing is, I think I've learnt how to ask myself the right questions - for the future! I just feel so much more in control - in a way that I keep my self-respect."
